WESTERN WINDOW SYSTEMS

Specializing in aluminum windows, Western Window Systems is one of McCray Lumber & Millwork’s most popular brands. Their 100 Series allow almost any combination of fixed and operating windows to be stacked or mulled in a basic or bay mullion. With Western, your window needs are sure to be met.

Western Window Systems offers three basic configurations: horizontal sliding, single hung, or fixed. Single hung windows from Western Window Systems are the most common. They slide vertically and have a typical vent height of 24″ or a maximum of half the window height. Available in up to 48″ in width or 96″ in height, they can be custom built anywhere in between.

The standard horizontal sliding windows are referred to as XO or OX with the X panel as operable and the O panel as fixed. This configuration is available in sizes up to 96″ in width and 72″ in height with a maximum total of 40 square feet overall.

For more fresh air, choose an XOX window, a center fixed panel and two venting pieces on each side. The maximum size for this configuration is 50 square feet total or 120″ in width and 72″ in height. To ensure the operable panels move smoothly on their tracks, regardless of the configuration, plastic rollers are mounted in nylon housings.

With any of the options, you can choose from a wide selection of colors in either an aluminum frame finish using Kynar finishes or an aluminum woodgrain finish using powder coat finishes or even have a color custom blended. Western Window Systems can generally match any color your home or business requires.

While these windows are made to be attractive, they are also durable. Made to withstand wind speeds of up to 108 mph, the aluminum windows use Duo-Pane Insulating glass. All Western windows come with the frame depth of 2.81 inches, carry a commercial structural rating, and have an insect screens designed to match the frame; however, to ensure no view is blocked, they are almost invisible with the use of fiberglass mesh.
