The Kansas City chapter of NARI (National Association of the Remodeling Industry) recently announced that they have awarded $10,000 in grants to local educational institutions helping to further careers in the remodeling industry. These grants were made possible by the Kansas City NARI Futures Fund, which promotes the awareness of opportunities within the remodeling industry while also helping in charitable pursuits.
The grants proudly given out by KC NARI were awarded to establishments that focus on the education of remodeling trades, and that have also proven to be making a difference in the lives of those wishing to learn the technical skills needed for such careers. The institutions given the grants include:
Olathe Public Schools
$4,730 awarded for equipment to benefit its construction trades program
Kansas City Kansas Community College
$4,050 awarded for class equipment and field trips for its building and property maintenance program
Independence School District
$1,500 awarded for field trips for construction trades students
The goal of the Futures Fund and all grants given out is to help empower and bring awareness to the great opportunities within the home remodeling industry. Careers in this field are fulfilling, rewarding, and a great investment in one’s future. When one works in the trades, they will be able to build something with their own hands that they can be proud of, and show off to friends and family for many generations to come.
The Kansas City chapter of NARI recognizes these opportunities and works daily to help better the perception of skilled trades jobs throughout the community. By building the future of the remodeling industry through these grants and other efforts, KC NARI and their Futures Fund is making a difference in the lives of contractors, remodelers, manufacturers, distributors, and all who live in the homes they build.
